 My focus now is to brainstorm some ideas for stories then get a basic story board for each sorted. Here is what I have so far! YURI SETS UP A PUNK HAIRDRESSING SALON VEGETABLE GROWING COMPETITION /COOKING OR PRESERVES OPENING OF THE ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND AT PAPA NOORS ORPHANAGE FOR LOST AND FOUND WONKIES WEENIE WONKY DANCE OFF..(COMPETITION) PURSUADING UNCLE WANGCHUK (MOUNTAIN GUIDE) THAT THE EARTH IS NOT FLAT, (so other wonkies are allowed to walk down the other side of the mountain and discover more of the world) RACE BETWEEN DR. FLORIN RED CROW, CHIKU AND NANU WELCOME PARTY FOR TONKA AND TUMELO WITH SINGERS, DANCERS AND DJS CABARET OR CARNIVAL a dressing up event/party IPI TRIES TO MAKE A MACHINE THAT WILL TAKE HIM BACK TO SPACE TREASURE HUNT OR ARCHEOLOGISTS DIG AND DISCOVERY THE MOUNTAIN RESCUE, DR FLORIN RED CROW AND TUI SAVE INARI THIS WEEK I WORKED ON A POLAR BEAR CHEF CHARACTER! THIS ONE WILL BE A TWIN TO ARMIN THE STRIPED HYENA CROSS POLAR BEAR BELOW. These are the settings... LIFE ON PLANET WONKY/SETTINGS In the stories we will spend time between these various settings 1 RAINFOREST WITH TREE HOUSES 2 THE WARREN WITH UNDERGROUND MUSIC STUDIOS 3 ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND, WHICH IS BEING DEVELOPED 4 GARDEN, ALLOTMENTS, MEADOWS 5 SEA 6 BOATING LAKE 7 CAVES 8 MOUNTAIN AND STREAM 9 SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS 10 ORPHANAGE FOR LOST AND FOUND WONKIES 11 SAVANNAS AND GRASSLANDS 12 YURT FARM 13 PUNK HAIR SALON 14 WORKSHOP FOR COSTUME MAKING AND HABERDASHERY, CRAFTS 15 FLYING SCHOOL 16 MARTIAL ARTS AND FITNESS 17 SCIENCE LAB 18 FARM 19 CAT JUNGLE 20 LANGUAGE SCHOOL 21 CHIKUS DENTIST PRACTICE      So now I must get some stories, make story boards...build sets, take still shots and get some funding and make some stop frame animated movies. These stories are going to benefit our planet and all living beings. Its a huge job, if there are any people out there, graphic designers, animators artists that would like to be a part of this please get in touch!

Apologies as I have completely neglected my website for the past few years and focused on other areas of my life, mask making during the pandemic, Instagram and my job at Angela Flanders perfumery! But..I continued to make and sell toys and I have been busy working on the stories for the wonkies and have created, written and illustrated the first draft of the first book. These photos are a little out of date now, my kittens Akira and Hatty Piper have become adults even! but I will gradually catch up. I am currently improving parts of the story ready for further workshops. I have used the story in workshops at various stages as I progressed. Here is the back story and basic outline of the first story 'Tonka and Tumelo arrive on Planet Wonky' below, INTRO FOR THE CHILDREN The Story of Planet Wonky begins when the earth gets WAY TOO MESSY. Humans were behaving badly and not taking care of nature, animals, insects, birds, fish and each other. Planet Earth decided it was time to go on strike! have a rest! take a holiday! Enough is enough! It went very dark and chilly, for many many many years! even aliens on other Planets could not see the earth when they looked through their telescopes. Then one day, in the year 4888, almost 3 millenniums from now! (*three thousand years.) the sun began to shine again, plants, flowers and trees started to grow. New life was beginning. It was a little bit different though, the countries had all moved around, some were upside down, Europe was next to the Antarctic. Green land was below Australia and new creatures had appeared ‘not like the ones before’. They called themselves Wonkies and they named their world Planet Wonky. The first story begins christmas 1999, the dawn of a new millenium! Two children named Tonka and Tumelo were playing hide and seek in Mozambique in South East Africa. They found a book on 'Magic tricks and Time Travel' in their Aunts back yard. Accidentally they cast a spell which not only turned Tonka into an aardvark and Tumelo into a beetle but shot them forward in time to the year 4888!! Here they meet the Wonkies for the very first time, and we start to learn about this new world. There are 42 Wonkies! and many more books to come. In the very last book the Wonkies have taught Tonka and Tumelo all there is to know about how to make a peaceful happy healthy planet and they go back to 1999 just in time to share everything they learnt and help save the world from disaster.

    So I now realise how to use this UPDATE page....(a little bit better) I am not really supposed to be putting important info in the side bar!!? But please read it..its important. The NOW.. is that I am going to be helping at the Hackney Pirates..an amazing charity that helps children who are struggling in school to get some extra help with reading, literacy in general and gaining confidence through story making! film making, theatre and everything thats free and curious and fun. Perfect...am sure it will be a goooood journey. I met the workers today and its got a GREAT vibe..they make some amazing changes to kids lives. Also today I brought on a NEW SHOP, I met an AMAZING LADY called Sandra, she is full of life, fun, super friendly and LOVES THE WONKYS!!! click on the link below to her facebook page.

YOUNG GENERATION 26 A BALLS POND ROAD N1 4AU She had top ideas for taking the toys further also, nice tips!! wonkys that squeak! teething wonkys for babies! wonkys for prams!! so a trip to Hobbycraft is next on the list of what to do....going to get some SQUEAKS, SOME BELLS, SOME SHAKEY SHAKEY things, CHEWY THINGS, Yeah!!!!!!!!!! Romford here we come! OK, it was a struggle today inbetween the work but the light is fighting through!! love! Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!! |
